Within express entry, the candidate can process a PR online, by fulfilling the eligibility requirements, based on age, education, work experience, and language proficiency.
EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM
Express entry is an online system used by immigration, refugees and citizenship Canada (IRCC) to manage and process applications for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents of Canada through 3 of Canada’s federal economic immigration programs for skilled workers.
* The federal skilled worker class (FSWC)
* The Canadian experience class (CEC)
* The federal skilled trade class (FSTC)
It is a competitive immigration system, ranking all eligible candidates against one another basis their age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and other factors and then inviting the high ranking candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence through regular draws.
To be eligible under the express entry program, the applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
- Minimum of one year continuous work experience in the last 10 years in the skill level O,A or B under the national occupational classification (NOC) .
- Should exceed to meet the minimum language level that is Canadian language benchmark clb as per the program requirement.
- Hold a Canadian education degree or equivalent to highschool or a foreign educational credential along with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report must be provided from the designated agency.
Candidates are given a score to determine their place in the express entry pool using a comprehensive ranking system CRS score.

PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM
Provincial nominee program aligned with express entry with an aim to attract highly skilled immigrants and deal with labour market needs, meaning Canada’s provinces and territories have provincial nominee immigration streams linked to federal express entry.
While a nomination from one of Canada’s provinces is not necessary to enter the express entry pool or receive an ITA, it can increase an applicant’s CRS score by 600 points, eventually enabling him/her to receive an ITA (Invitation to apply) quickly.

The new system for the Quebec skilled worker program QSWP will replace the current first come for the application process.
The process of applying immigration under the Quebec skilled worker program consists of the following steps:
- Submission of an expression of interest to settle in Quebec an entry into Quebec’s expression of interest bank.
- Successful selection from the Quebec expression of interest Bank results in an invitation to apply for the QSWP.
- Submission of an application for Quebec selection certificate to the MIDI.
- Submission of a Canadian permanent residence application to the federal government.

Rural and northern immigration pilot program is a community driven program designed by the government of Canada to promote economic immigration to small and remote communities in Ontario, Western Canada and the three territories by creating a pathway towards permanent residence for skilled foreign workers.
The community driven rural and northern pilot built on the success of the Atlantic immigration pilot program (AIPP), and is designed to facilitate permanent residence for foreign workers of various skill levels in eligible communities in the province and territories.

Eligibility requirements:
In order to be eligible for the rural and northern immigration pilot program, RNIP, potential candidates need to meet all IRCC eligibility requirements as well as requirements established by the participating community. The candidate must:
- Have a recommendation from one of the designated communities.
- Have one year of qualifying work experience in the past three years (a minimum of 1560 hours)or have graduated from a publicly funded post-secondary institution in the recommending community.
- Have a genuine job offer to work in one of the designated communities. The wage must meet the minimum wage listed for the NOC in the Canada Job Bank and the candidate’s previous experience must demonstrate that they can perform the duties of the job offered.
- Meet or exceed the educational requirements. A Canadian high school diploma or the foreign equivalent with an educational credential assessment ECA report from a designated organisation.
- Meet or exceed the language threshold for the NOC skill type/level of the job being offered. The minimum requirements for the each NOC skill type are as follows:
-NOC O and A minimum language score of a clb 6 is required
-NOC B minimum language score of a clb 5 is required
-NOC C and D minimum language score of a clb 4 is required.

- Prove that he / she has sufficient funds to support their and their families’ transition into the community.
